Captain Doug House's family arrived in the Everglades in 1850 and began farming on one of the Ten Thousand Islands, now know as House's Hammock. The House family has been involved in every aspect of community life since that time in both Everglades City and the neighboring island, Chokoloskee. Captain Doug's love and knowledge of the Everglades has allowed him to share with others as both a professional fishing guide and business owner. Captain Doug's Airboats were the first airboat company in Everglades City and continue to be the most popular. The length of experience and size of the fleet provide you with assurances of a safe ride with a boat leaving when you want to go!
